Introduction: Hello! My name is Ashley and I am a certified Classical Pilates teacher working in Highland, MD (Howard County). I have been teaching for over ten years and practicing Pilates for almost 14 years. I have a small studio attached to my home, with its own private entrance. My clients get one on one attention without the busy, loud distractions of a studio or gym. My certification involved a year of training, over 800 hours. This is the difference between a Classically trained Pilates teacher and other types of certifications. When searching for a Pilates teacher, make sure they are Classically certified and trained. For those whom are new to Pilates; Pilates has a strong mind-body connection which teaches you to engage the "core" muscles of your body. You will learn how to work and move from your center which will evenly strengthen your body. Flexibility, balance, and improved posture are only some of the many benefits of Pilates. Ashley is absolutely the BEST! With pilates I alway wonder about if my form is right or am I working on the right muscle... and Ashely is absolutely great about checking my form to make sure I am doing the exercises correctly. Time flies by when I am working out with her. Just simply the best!

Ashley knows what she’s doing and explains things clearly and simply. She also demonstrates as necessary so I am able to follow, even as a newbie to Pilates. In just a few sessions I have already noticed increased core strength and flexibility from when I first started. I definitely enjoy the class and look forward to my weekly sessions!

I charge $70 for 50 minutes.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically I talk to new clients on the phone or in person about their fitness goals or any questions they might have before we get started. Clients with injuries or any kind of issue can talk to me in person too if they prefer about how pilates can help.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a 800 hour/1 year certification for Classical Pilates.
