I hired Juwan to build a wine cabinet. He submitted a drawing to me and I added a few details: a wine holder portion for 6 bottles, doors on both upper and lower cabinet, a shelf for wine bottles on the inside of each door, and sea horse handles. I included photos of all these details and we discussed everything thoroughly. He agreed to all the additions. My daughter was in the hospital when he delivered the cabinet, so I was not aware until after the delivery that he had built a completely different cabinet. I have no idea what he was thinking! Instead of cabinet doors he built a roll top thing that does not operate smoothly; it gets stuck every time I try to open and close it. There is no wine bottle holder. And the shelves inside the door are pointless because they are too small for bottles and there is no railing to keep stuff from falling off when the doors are opened. The handles are also on backwards. I tried to make the most of it and tried not to be contrary but what he built is ridiculous and I'm in the process of trying to get my money back. He wrote me all the reasons why he had to make changes but never bothered to have me okay the changes - just surprised me with them all??!! Just showed up with a completely different wine cabinet! To be clear, any comment he quotes where I say the pull down door will save space is what I said AFTER the cabinet was already in my house and I was trying to stay positive. It was not an agreement to any change I was made aware of. Sadly, the pull down door doesn't even work. I'm super disappointed with his work.
