Sebastian and his crew of SVM Remodeling performed some extremely great work on my home (internally and externally). Some of the work was challenging, but none of it phased them at all. They were all very experienced in their craft. I will certainly contact them for any future work on my home.

I hired SVM remodeling for a full refresh of my home, including patching and painting dirty walls, and removing and installing new carpet. Due to previous tenant poor maintenance, I was really in need of someone reliable to bring it back to life. A friend recommended SVM remodeling, and I’m so glad they did. From start to finish, the expert was excellent. He was prompt in providing a detailed quote and even worked with me on the price. During the process, he discovered issues with the old carpet and padding being rotten and he accommodated it a fair price. The painting work was top notch, the walls and everything was completed well within budget and said time. I highly recommend SVM remodeling for any home improvement projects. I would absolutely rehire him in the future!

Although Sebastian offered an affordable price for cutting a wall to open a space and installing wood countertops, my partner and I’s experience was not stress-free. We are very familiar with renovations and usually choose to do work ourselves since we have professional experience; however, we were expecting a baby very soon and wanted to be efficient and didn’t want to stress.
Our issue was that Sebastian often made promises he did not keep, like saying workers were going to show up on days to perform work but never showed. They also discarded materials in our yard for two days, promising to get it but not showing up. They often seemed to have the wrong equipment for projects, which allowed them to make costly mistakes; for example, they did not cut the wood counter for our breakfast bar straight, which is noticeable as the trim hangs over on one side, and the wall they cut wobbles and doesn’t seem sturdy, especially since they didn’t clamp the brackets to ensure a secure fit which I’m sure will cost us later. They also butchered an area of the main countertops, causing them to have to take materials from another piece of wood and try again. They chipped a large chunk out of the corner of a $400 piece of butcher block and tried to hide it by flipping it over, and we later found out. When removing the old counter to replace it with the wood, they scrapped the brand-new painted walls and cabinets and did not patch them before trying to put the new countertop in (and at one point said that he asked his worker if he did it, and they said it was like that before!! I have pictures of before they came to do work). He said that since the sink I purchased was too big, he would have to cut and run new plumbing…..(I did not let that happen)…and after finishing the project that was indeed not true. They left the kitchen piping exposed instead of capping it off, causing us to get an infestation of small bugs flying up from the drain. They originally installed the trim for the breakfast bar incorrectly because they developed a habit of just doing things without confirming or asking, causing us to have to purchase more trim so they could fix it, but the fix was…..(just look at those pictures). There is so much.
Ultimately, we fired Sebastian and his team before any more damage could be done. I did not trust them to finish the job or correct their mistakes. It gave me so much anxiety, and I still think about it a month later. Especially since we paid more than half the money upfront because they said it was their policy. We regret that so much, because we still had to complete the install, fix, caulk, paint, cut, sand, stain, etc. I recently finished all the work myself, including the plumbing (yes, while extremely pregnant) and it’s looks great but I wish I could get my money back because while being pregnant I don’t have free money to hand out.
