Introduction: Our installation teams assess each situation and vary their approach as required - and not a one-size fits all mentality. With Artist’s Eye Installations you are collaborating with artists and specialists with varied backgrounds that understand how one’s eye should move through a space. We can execute our clients’ visions to their ideals because we understand and know, through experience and staying abreast of current trends, how to achieve the desired look. AEI does all of this while operating with the highest standards of customer service. Whether it's someone moving into a new house or someone looking to revive a space, placing art on the walls, in a strategic manner, turns houses into homes. We love being a part of that transformative process.

Picture Hanging and Art Installation

This is my second time using Artist’s Eye Installation. As I expected, the work was flawlessly done. It was easy to schedule an appointment with Mr. Brewer and Alanzo, the installer, was professional, kind and efficient. Without hesitation, I will use Artist’s Eye again and again.

Picture Hanging and Art Installation

SO SO nice to work with. My technician was able to hang so many items within an hour, but never rushed through any part of the job. The quality of the work was top notch and he arrived right on time! Absolutely would hire again!

Picture Hanging and Art Installation

I created a Heritage Wall of pictures, 5 generations back, and wanted it up for Thanksgiving. Came out perfect! Great surprise for my family. Looks better in person than pic...

Picture Hanging and Art Installation

An awesome experience! Professional through and through. Open to my suggestions, but still willing to step in with a plan to create a great gallery wall. Very personable team and great at the work they do. Already booking a second installation and recommending to friends. Photos to come!!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We have 3 categories by which we charge:  1) Standard installations (all work under 10 ft.) - $140/hr  2) 2-story installations (all work over 10ft and some stairwell scenarios) - $225 for the first hour then back to standard for each additional hour. 3) Consulting/ Labor - $70/hr, this is if we are doing the layout for groupings and/or placing artwork throughout a space, or just opening and unwrapping artwork.   For jobs outside of our 20 miles radius we charge an addition $2/mile. (We are right next to University of MD for anyone trying to calculate the mileage.)

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

With all customers, we deliver skilled precision and knowledgable suggestions, while respecting personal preference — after all, it’s their space to enjoy. Our installers begin with a walkthrough of each space holding the art to the ideal height— we then adjust based on the clients’ desires. Once the initial walkthrough is complete, the client can sit back and relax while we get to work.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

In addition to holding both a Bachelor and Master of Fine Arts, our founder, Wesley Clark, has owned and operated his installation business since 2007. Additionally, he has worked side by side with art consultants and interior designers choosing and laying out artwork for spaces. Clark continues to learn other skills that pertain to hanging art — for example, framing houses and hanging drywall which has helped to better understand what a wall can handle weight-wise with and without a stud.  In the span of 13 years, he has worked for 2 years as an art handler/installer for a very well known retail gallery in Bethesda, curated shows, framed artwork, and is represented by 2 galleries — one in Baltimore, the other in Nashville. This background has provided a holistic approach to recruiting and training installers. Prior to participating in a project, our installers are able to properly handle the artwork, define the right look when pairing the piece with the space and the integral role of math in the designs.
