We had 30 years worth of junk hauled from my mother's house. We had a good experience and would use them again. The crew was very careful with avoiding any damage to the floors while hauling furniture.Jan 24, 2020Verified
The gentleman removing my furniture dropped the furniture, put a hole in the wall, and knocked my stairwell out of place. While they only offered 25 off, I still had to fork up way more money to fix what they messed up.Jan 19, 2019VerifiedJT'S Junk&Trash Removal, LLC's reply
My guy actually fell down the steps while holding a chair. We never purposefully made any damage. How can you brace yourself while tumbling over and over. I took $25 as being generous to the customer and was willing to fix the wall myself.
Charged 5 times as much as quoted$1060 = $111 per hour per man ( time was of the essence and they took advantage!!!). Removed a Oriental Carpet for personal gain. They had not planned on asking me, though I did not feel strongly and looked the other wayOct 3, 2019VerifiedJT'S Junk&Trash Removal, LLC's reply
Thank you for your business but we quoted you a price and you agreed. The rug was never a gain of any sort as you knew the condition of it. We took it because it weighed to much to put on top of the debris on the container. We would never take advantage of any customer, we cleaned out a sick and very unhealthy home that probably 90% of junk removal companies wouldn’t even touch.
This is the second time I've used this company. Great experience! They came within an hour of me contacting them. Great customer service. Will definitely use again and recommend to others.Oct 1, 2019Verified
His online estimate says $99 which lead you to believe that’s after more details it would be 120 or so. I had 1 flight of stairs and at most 1/2 a truck bed load. (Old TV, Microwave and old weight set and mirrors) and quoted me $200. So beware and make sure and get firm quote. Very misleading. Buyer beware.Jan 14, 2020VerifiedJT'S Junk&Trash Removal, LLC's reply
I appreciate your two stars. The $99 quote is obviously an estimate until we see what you have.
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Yes, my standard pricing depends on the size of the load/volume. 1/4 loads start at $165 or more depending on items. Half trailer loads start at $250 for 14x8x6 or 20cubic yards. Also 14x8x6 full loads are $550. On average, homeowners pay between $138 and $373 for junk removal, though costs depend largely on contents, volume and service policies.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to know exactly what the customer is looking to achieve. So I ask a lot of questions. I always give a quote that just breaks the ice to the customer of what it might cost for the removal... From that point I would meet the new customer and go over what they want to achieve in there junk removal.. After the basics are Layed out I give the customer an ETA on when I will be starting mostly same day. I do all junk removal work as a professional and leave with a new happy customer.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Worked for a trash removal company for many years. I advanced and started my own company here on Thumtack last year.
