After dealing with HVAC issues following the freezing Maryland winter in early 2026, I decided it was time to replace my old system instead of continuing to recharge it and hope for the best. Older systems that use R-22/Freon can be very expensive to recharge, and there is always the risk that it will only be a temporary fix.
I first received a quote from Home Depot for around $12,000, which was much higher than I wanted to spend. I later found Phoenix heating and cooling through Thumbtack, and he responded right away. He gave me an estimate over the phone, came out the next day, and, after seeing the system in person, actually quoted me less than his original estimate.
He and another worker installed the new inside and outside system, worked for most of the day, and came back the next day to finish charging the system and make sure everything was cooling properly. Since then, the system has been running perfectly.
He was professional, knowledgeable, fair with pricing, and explained everything clearly. My only small complaint is that I wish he offered more payment options, but overall, I was very happy with the work and would definitely recommend Phoenix Heating and Cooling for HVAC repairs or replacement.
Eisa fixed the problem with my HVAC system that the technicians from the company I had used for years could not.
I don’t believe they were unable to fix it. Instead, I believe they chose the easier path by dragging out the process so I would keep calling them back, generating more service fees. Unfortunately, this seems to be a problem with many HVAC companies. Because they know their services are always in demand, some focus more on maintaining a steady income than on providing high-quality, honest service.
Eisa was different. He took the time to thoroughly investigate the problem instead of looking for a quick fix. He patiently worked through the issue until he found the real cause and resolved it. That level of dedication and honesty is rare today.
My hope is that Eisa continues to maintain the same integrity, commitment to his customers, and fair pricing. Those are qualities that customers truly value and remember.

I cannot recommend Eisa enough! With a major snowstorm in the forecast, I was worried about getting someone out in time, but Eisa’s response was incredibly fast. He connected with me quickly and was at my door the very next day.
Eisa took the time to explain exactly what was going on and patiently answered all of my questions. On top of the repairs, he even performed free maintenance on my furnace to ensure everything was running smoothly before the cold hit.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
customers normally call me and tell me their issues, I ask them questions to better understand their situation and for me to have a better idea of what I might be dealing with, then I provide an expectation of what the time frame might be for me to fix that issue and how much it might cost.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
being in the field around 5 years work for some top big companies in DMV area . CFC Certified/ NATE certified. Attend plenty of training courses dealing with all major brands and still attending. Can never learn enough.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
