FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The cost of the job depends on the type of officer needed: Unarmed, Armed, Special Police, or Police. Each role involves different training, certifications, qualifications, and responsibilities. You’re paying not just for an officer’s time, but for the preparation and expertise they bring to your location. We help you determine which type of officer best fits your security needs and provide clear pricing upfront, so you understand what you’re paying for. The charges are rated as HOURLY.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start by discussing your location, security concerns, schedule, and budget. We then review the coverage needs and recommend the appropriate officer type, staffing level, and duties. Next, we provide a clear proposal outlining the services, rates, and contract options. Once we agree on a plan, we coordinate site procedures, reporting expectations, and points of contact before coverage begins. Throughout the assignment, we stay in communication and review feedback to make adjustments as your needs change.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My background combines military service, law enforcement, security supervision, and instructor training. I am a U.S. Army infantry veteran with experience in NASA Security Police and DoD Police. I am a Maryland State Police–certified security instructor for the 12-hour initial and 8-hour in-service courses, a SABRE OC Spray instructor, and a First Aid/CPR/AED instructor. I have also taught training in de-escalation, use of force, active-shooter response, report writing, and emergency response. I bring that experience to the planning, training, and professional standards of 1811 Off Duty.
