Introduction: I've always been told that I "have an eye" for taking photos. My customers direct me in the photo session. I'll take the photo, but I let the customer lead the session to ensure that they get exactly what they want. I love being able to capture those unforgettable moments that most people don't even know have happened. When I shoot any event I love getting those candid photos that no one knew I was taking.

Mary was our photographer for our wedding in November of 2012. Mary is the best photographer ever! She is very professional but is also warm and friendly. Her pictures are outstanding and very creative as well. She is full of ideas as well. Mary met with my fiance & I beforehand to get to know us and ensure that she would be able to provide what we wanted. She did not disappoint either. We received more pictures than we expected. The pictures included the poses that we wanted and also candid pictures of our guests. I highly recommend Mary Atkins and will not hesitate to hire her again.

Mary has taken photographs for my family a couple of times and they've been great both times. She took our family's Christmas photo one year and also took the graduation photo for one of my sons, which we enclosed in his graduation announcements. She is great to work with, very thorough & patient and FUN! We we very happy with our experiences - no complaints at all.

Mary was so patient with our group of 25- she gave us ideas as well as let us do our own thing- we walked a lot to get all the background shots we wanted and she found ways to capture moments as we moved! I can't wait to see the pilots in a few weeks- thank you Mary!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I meed a new customer, I like to have the initial meeting in a central location to both of us. I do my best to put the customer at ease by asking questions and making sure I understand exactly what s/he wants from me.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I typically learn through experience, but I have taken photography classes, am a member of a local photography club, and regularly seek information online when I am trying to master a new technique or skill.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've been taking pictures since I was a child. I started out with a 110 camera and my passion for taking photos has grown steadily ever since.
