- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing system is generally per song, with a reduced rate for additional songs. Also factored in are transportation expenses, and the need to purchase special music.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I am ever mindful that someone is trusting me with a moment in their personal/professional life that is very important to them. Consequently, I approach each event as if it were my own. I begin by gathering as much detail from the client on what is needed (usually by email, phone, and/or questionnaire). Once the date is secured, a contract is provided which outlines the details of my performance. I will often offer song suggestions and even assistance with program structure as needed. I will also provide information on any considerations that the client my not be taking into account, to ensure that the event is a success. And if other vendor services are needed, I am always happy to give referrals!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Singing has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, beginning with church choirs. I have sung at virtually every formal establishment with which I have been affiliated.
