About
Hello! My name is Hexing Xiao, a Peabody graduate with a doctoral in piano performance. My decades of practice in piano has brought my performances to concert venues, music festivals, and higher education institutions in multiple countries across Europe, Aisa, and North America.
In addition to serving as the piano professor at Harford Community college while performing actively in the DC-Baltimore area, I run a private studio in Timonium MD, giving lessons to young beginners, adult hobbyists, and aspiring pianists.
In-person lessons are strongly recommended. However, online lessons are also offered as alternative when in-person lesson becomes temporarily unviable due to weather, traveling, or other circumstances.
Please feel free to reach out for a free consultation. I am looking forward to making music together with you!

Hexing taught me my first ever pianolessons. As an adult learner, I appreciated him tailoring lessons to current interests and introducing music theory as well in an enjoyable way. I really feel that I have a strong foundation for reading music, form, and method for continuing my practice.
