Karina Cafe

Introduction: Our proposed services are based on the following program: R.E.S.T. is a Respite Program with Expressive Arts at Karina Cafe is offered to children, teens, young adults and their families. This program is designed to provide REST (Rest, Encouragement, Support, Tenderness and Love) for families with physical, emotional, cognitive, special and social needs. Karina allows free time for parents while their children and young adults enjoy Expressive Therapy. Special needs children working with group therapist are stimulated mentally, visually through sound and touch; Karina gives validation to siblings as they connect in other activities. In addition to providing families with a break from daily responsibilities, Karina provides lunch and dinner on session days to extend their time of rest into the evening. Karina provides education support, empathy and caring for children with special needs and their siblings We provide FREE dinner for the family to continue the time of rest throughout the evening.
