Not a big job (slow bathroom sink drain), but nice to get a quick response and get it fixed properly. I don't think I needed a licensed plumber for this job. Could have used a handyman, and I wish Thumbtack had given me that option.

STD Plumbing is a Godsend to any homeowner who has indoor plumbing! They repaired a leaky hot water heater and so much more. Our system is connected to hvac, which is usually challenging for most plumbers and hvac professionals. But the STD staff were not only knowledgeable, they actually took the time to explain to us what the issue is, helped us troubleshoot, and provided us with details to report the code issue to our HOA. They even set the water temperature to the level recommended for babies and seniors. Never have I ever seen a plumbing professional pay such close attention to that level of detail. Their pricing was fair and when they returned the next day to make an adjustment, it was no charge!!! And as if they couldn’t get any better, they offered to work with any hvac professional we selected in the future to ensure we got what we needed. From now on, STD is the only plumber I want in my house. I’m confident you will feel the same so don’t hesitate to call them.

As a first time homeowner, I’d say the most stressful thing about owning a home is dealing with contractors that are always trying to convince you that your home needs $12,000 worth of repairs (literally the 1st estimate I received). The pro came to my home earlier than expected and gave me some very honest advice saving me thousands on renovation costs. My home is old so when I eventually do need any kind of plumbing repair, I’ll be contacting them again!
