What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Be sure that the service provider is properly licensed. A Handyman should have and MHIC number. Be sure they are INSURED (actually, a good General Contractor will have 4 types of insurance, including Workmans Comp, which is the most important to you, the homeowner). Be sure they are BONDED. This is also called Business Operations or Criminal Insurance - it protects you, the homeowner.
Check their rating with the BBB, Chamber of Commerce, Google Places, etc. - reputation is everything.
