FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common project we perform is bathroom remodeling. As a young carpenter, growing with my grandfather teaching me the ropes, he had me pull toilets and changing sinks at an early age. This fascination grew to include ceramic tile, marble and other stones. Bathrooms were pretty basic back in the day and have now become something of an oasis. \ Even though we do bathrooms more than others, doesn't mean we can't complete larger projects. We can add a second floor if needed, but we will also replace that storm door that's been bugging you.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When interviewing contractors, ask them how they operate. In other words, how is your firm organized? Do you have employees or do you hire subcontractors? If you do have employees, what are their job descriptions? Do you use a project supervisor or lead carpenter to oversee the project? Its best to have someone coordinating the work and supervising the subcontractors while its being done, versus having to go back and make corrections upon completion. Other firms will have additional positions. You should know what parts of your project will be handled by staff, and which will be contracted out to independent contractors.
