I couldn't be happier with the job Mike did on our living room and dining room floors. He knows what he's doing and made sure everything was perfect. He and his assistant Rocky were both a pleasure to work with. Our floors were pitiful and now they are gorgeous!

Mike Ulmer, owner of Star Flooring, takes your home and your budget, personally. From start to finish Mike had our interest at heart...from helping us choose the right wood for the best price, to the details of the finished job. Our job was a 2,500sf house that needed old wood floors and carpet removed and new wood floors put down. Mike did an excellent job! He is all about the details and ensured that each hickory plank was placed with care. Mike aims to please the customer. He also promised to clean up when finished, and that too was done to perfection. Mike can keep the cost down for you because he does the work himself. The job is not done in haste and he is all about the details. Mike's passion is his work....and it will reflect in the job! Excellent, amazing work!

I hired mike to lay laminate flooring on my main level, about 750 sq feet. Mike showed up everyday on time and very professional. He told me how long it was gonna take and stuck to his word and got it done. He was also able to help me with crown molding which also turned out amazing. I would hire mike anytime for any of my flooring needs. Thanks again mike.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
My family has been involved in flooring all their lives. I enjoy working with my hands and wood. There is great level of gratification in making sure the home owner has what they want.
What types of customers have you worked with?
As a client or even before becoming a client the biggest part of my job is helping you. I want to be your friend and help make the decisions as easy as possible.. Its my job to explain every step, make you aware of all possible obstacles and procedures. No one likes a surprise.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I must admit that I do so many different jobs that none of them are really the same. I would have to say that the project I am most proud of recently was a border I installed.
