I’m 35 weeks pregnant and wanted to take maternity photos and family photos. My family includes my husband Andy, my 4 year old daughter Maggie, and my 2 year old daughter Hazel. My oldest daughter is special needs and not particularly cooperative with photos while my youngest would be happy to photo bomb nearly every shot. Samantha was amazing! She met us at the USNA for our outdoor photo shoot. Not only was she professional and punctual, she put my whole family at ease. We successfully took family pictures with my children and when our youngest tried to cut in to couple and maternity shots, Samantha was able to capture her attention with how to take pictures while snapping shots of me and my husband. It was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend Sumantha Photography for any photo shoot.

Besides being a consummate professional- on time, well prepared and thorough-what I really valued the most was her vision and her ability to transform beyond the typical photos in order to meet the particular needs of her client. I always knew I wanted a streamlined, simple maternity shoot. The first day I mentioned this we immediately had the same vision and she brought it to life in the photos. It also helps that she gives precise directions and suggestions for the best shots (for those of us who have no idea what to do in front of a camera) . Further, she has such a warm inviting personality. I’m so glad I chose her and I’ve already mentally booked her for all my other photography needs in the coming year lol. Finally, I loved the short turnaround. she returns your edited finals in the exact timeframe she promised. There are no surprises with this one, her ultimate goal is customer satisfaction. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I understand having a budget. I also understand hardship very well - I can work with you, just as long as you can work with me too. The experience should be a WIN-WIN.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process would be getting to know more about the project. I'd want to know if the client has ideas that they'd like to incorporate in the photos, if not...not a problem at all! This just means I get the honors of using my creative brain muscle to capture beauty.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Took courses in digital photography and also through experience - doing free shoots for friends, friends of friends and family events/gatherings.
