FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My lessons are 30 minute sessions once a week at $35 per session.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I first meet a student I like to get to know their skill level by having them play for me if they have already been playing before. From there we can decide where we will get started in our lessons together that will be catered to their individual needs and goals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I began studying music at the age of 5. I began first on the piano and then started playing the violin at around age 8. I studied both instruments extensively throughout high school but fell in love with the violin from the very beginning. In high school I did some orchestral training at the Peabody Preparatory Division. I majored in Violin Performance at Towson University. I held the concert master position of the orchestra beginning my freshman year at the college. I first began teaching at a local family owned music store. During my time at Towson as a student I was offered a teaching position in the Towson Preparatory Department. Upon graduation I began teaching at various locations of Music and Arts stores and taught there for 10 years. I have since then started to teach my students independently and am enjoying working with my students to build their skills and to watch them grow into young adults who love music.
