FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Nope, I keep it simple, I do 60 minute sessions so that we have time to cover warm up, a good workout, and a mobility cool down. You pay for the sessions you use and there is no membership* or monthly contract. My only request is that you cancel within 24 hours or you pay for the session. * the gym you chose may have a membership
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
YES!!! I am an absolut nerd when it comes to fitness. I definitely believe in working smarter not harder. Currently I am studying to take the Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach Exam, as well as the Tactical Strength and Conditioning Coach Exam. These exams are some of the most prestegous fitness certifications that require the fitness professional to have a college education to even be eligible to take them. I also have written several scholarly articals looking at fitness as it relates to firefighters.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
In my other life I work as a paramedic firefighter. So everyday I see people needing help due to preventable chronic diseases, or people fall and not be able to get up due to their physical strength. My goal is to train my clients in such a way that they avoid chronic disease and maintain their ability to live independently their entire life. I would much rather meet you in a gym than the back of my ambulance.
