FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
At Blue Crab Turf and Landscape, we believe in transparent, fair pricing that reflects the quality of our work. Every property and project is different so our estimates are customized based on the scope of work, materials, equipment, and labor required. We focus on delivering long term value rather than simply being the lowest priced option. When customers combine multiple services or projects, we can often provide savings through more efficient scheduling, equipment mobilization and material purchasing.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our process begins with a conversation to understand your property, concerns and goals. From there, we typically schedule an on site consultation to evaluate existing conditions, discuss potential solutions and determine the best approach. We then prepare a detailed estimate outlining the proposed work. Once approved, we coordinate scheduling, materials and equipment to complete the project efficiently and professionally. Communication is important to us. We want our customers to understand not only what we're doing, but why we're doing it.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Blue Crab Turf & Landscape combines decades of hands-on experience with specialized education in turfgrass management, landscape construction, and property maintenance. Co-owner Brad Novotny holds a degree in Turfgrass Science and brings over 25 years of industry experience, including his background as a golf course superintendent. His expertise includes agronomy, soil health, turf management, and customized lawn care programs. Co-owner Owen Stalter oversees landscape and construction operations, bringing extensive hands-on experience in construction, drainage, hardscaping, landscape installation, and project management. Together, our complementary backgrounds allow us to approach projects from both a horticultural and construction perspective.
