Introduction: My name is Adam Wolff. I own and operate a professional recording studio out of my home called Howling Wolff Recording Studio (HWRS). Over the years I have had the good fortune to build an extensive and continual client base. That said, I only accept new clients who are serious about booking sessions and share the mindset that the studio is a place for focused creativity and working towards bringing quality results to your recording project. It is a fun experience along the way, but if your looking for a place to bring your friends and party, HWRS is not the right studio for you. In 2012, I graduated at the top of my class, from a prestigious Recording Institution, with a degree in Audio Engineering. By 2014, I was able to resign from my corporate job to focus on Howling Wolff Recording Studio full time. Since that time, HWRS has recorded and mixed hundreds of various types of artists. From hip-hop artists to rock bands, to bluegrass to singer/songwriters. There is no genre that HWRS can not and will not service. HWRS also specializes in voice recordings. We record/edit/mix and host podcasts, voiceover artists, audiobooks, commercials etc...Howling Wolff has done it all! We have high quality, up-to-date equipment and an acoustically treated, comfortable space to record our clients. The studio is equipped with a state of the art "floating room" vocal booth built by acoustical engineers. Accompanied by a highly sensitive large diaphram condenser microphone, it provides the cleanest vocals possible. I am very reasonable with my rates. Most people find that I am less expensive than other studios. This is because I am also a musician and understand that most people don't have the necessary funds to record their album/project in a multimillion-dollar recording studio. The good news is that these days you don't need to record in a multi-million dollar studio to get the same great results! You just need an experienced Audio Engineer, the RIGHT equipment/space and someone who has the skills to tie it all together, resulting in a high end quality recording and mix. That's where Howling Wolff Recording Studio Excels like no other! Recently, HWRS was awarded the prestigious "TOP PRO" award by Thumbtack! The "Top Pro" was only awarded to 4% of all Thumbtack professionals in the entire nation! I recently booked a session at Howling Wolff to record audio for a commercial. I was impressed with the entire experience. From the very beginning, when I spoke to Adam on the phone about my project, he seemed attentive, friendly and confident that he was the right man for the job. I have been in a lot of home studios before, but Howling Wolff was, by far, the best home studio I have ever worked in. Adam has done some major construction to provide an atmosphere that is acoustically tuned very well. The vocal booth was also the best I have ever worked in. It provided a super clean vocal that is strong and powerful! I was really happy with how the recording sounded after our session. However, I was amazed how it sounded after Adam sent me the final mix! The rates were very reasonable. Not that I wanted to, but I told Adam that he should be charging more for his skill and everything he provides to his clients. I'm happy that I discovered Howling Wolff Recording Studio. I have a good amount of commercials coming up that I will absolutely be returning for. Ryan Edwards

I wrote a song 3 years ago, but could not figure out how to create a studio quality demo through my adobe creative cloud subscription. Adam has literally transformed what sounded like banging trash cans into a treasure worth sharing with the world! From the equipment, to his attention to detail, to his punctuality.... ABSOLUTELY worth every penny! I love the layout of the studio and appreciate the monitor in the vocal booth to help follow along with the song/playback in REAL TIME. For never having been in a recording studio, Adam made me feel immediately at ease by giving me a tour of his studio, explained how things work and got me into a performance mindset. We recorded three online tutorials for the world's largest MOOC, Gymnasium, which means the products had to be exceptional quality. Adam knew what was at stake and provided me with thoughtful direction and used his mad engineering skills to deliver high-quality products. In terms of flexibility and reliability, Adam exceeded my expectations. He rearranged his schedule to meet mine, greeted me outside so he knew I wouldn't miss his location, and spent extra time with me to make sure we had all the recordings we needed. Adam's facility, capabilities, flexibility, and professionalism are exceptional. I look forward to working with him again and recommend him without hesitation or reservation.

My time with Adam at Howling Wolff studio was far beyond any expectation I set. Far before much actaul studio time, I had many long and productive conversations with Adam through email, text and over the phone. He was always very quick with responses and flexible about times to talk. He was informative, transparent, and helpful in discussing the upcoming studio session. After finally getting in the studio, I was very impressed with how professional his set up was for such a great price. He had the room treated, more than enough mics for anything we needed, a separate room w all sorts of mixing boards and displays. He had cameras and monitors in all the rooms so communication was seem less. He found a great balance between explaining what he was doing without, going too far into things that didn’t matter. In terms of actaul quality for sound, again, my expectation was blown away. Even before any mixing was done, the drums sounded outstanding. He worked his magic and EQd and compressed them on the way in creating a very clean and crisp sound. Once the tracking began, he wasn’t patient but still goal oriented which helped us get the best takes we could while using our time effectively. All in all, I would recommend Howling Wolff studios to ANYONE looking to record music. Especially, but not limited to, those on a budget. His services exceeded the excoriation based on price many times over. Adam was a joy to work with and I am thrilled with the experience and the results.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am very fair with my rates. I like to stay affordable and competitive. I offer a lot of experience and value for the amount that I charge.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It all starts with a phone conversation. I want to introduce myself to you and find out about your particular project. I'll also tell you about the services I offer, as well as, some background info. During this call we can determine if we are the right fit for one another. If we are, I will give you instructions on how to place a deposit for your session and an email with details on where we go from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I minored in music at Salisbury University and I have a degree in Audio Engineering from The Sheffield Institute for the Recording Arts. I have been recording/editing/mixing artists, bands, voiceovers etc... for over a decade. In that time, my training from audio school has been a great base for my knowledge. However, nothing can replace "real-life" experience. I have been put to the test over and over again and come out on top. Whether it's trouble shooting an issue in a session and resolving it quickly or finding the right vocal harmony for a singer, I produce results time and time again. I'm also a musician myself. I have been playing piano for over 30 years. Half of that time has been playing professionally. I have extensive theory knowledge and have developed a very keen ear over time. My clients learn that quickly and ask for my advice often. I'm happy to give it. I'm all about getting the best results possible and serving the music!
