We are in the clouds just like your music and many other things you enjoy. We also like to go over the tax return with our clients and help them to understand their deductions and credits or lack thereof. We believe the real secret to joy and happiness is through sharing. Many clients have felt comfortable enough to prepare their own returns after using our services because of the knowledge we pass on. How did you get started doing this type of work?
I LOVE NUMBERS!!! Since I was a young child, my favorite subject has always been math. When I got to high school and was introduced to accounting, I knew this was my calling. I got my first job at 14 and completed my very own tax return that next year. I got so much joy out of it. I knew this was it and I couldn't wait to get started. I immediately began doing friends and families' returns annually. It brought them so much joy to know they were getting a tax refund and I thought; "I can make people smile!" While I knew everyone wouldn't get a FAT check, I thought I could educate them and help them to better plan for their financial future. Taxes are a foreign language to many, but to me, it has always been a joy to translate the code. I went on to work at Jackson Hewitt while obtaining my B.S. in Accounting at Virginia Tech. After college, I began my own practice part-time and obtained my CPA license.
