Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. We primarily film weddings and live events. We produce approximately 30 weddings per year, although we only film one wedding per day and never overbook, so that we can fully concentrate on your event. We film with professional 3CCD high definition cameras and with two (2) videographers to provide the highest quality video, filming in both documentary and cinematic style.
We work closely with our brides to ensure that your video is perfect for you. We specialize in Hindu, Sikh, Muslim and Christian weddings, but enjoy filming weddings of every faith. Please feel free to visit our Video Gallery on our website to view samples of our work. We look forward to hearing from you.
Q. Describe three recent jobs you've completed.
A. The last three jobs we have completed were wedding videos, with a Christian wedding coming up this next weekend. All three previous jobs were Hindu weddings, although each had differences in culture and traditions. We filmed the preparation of the bride and the groom, filmed the baraat, breakfast, ceremony, luncheon and reception at each event. The two jobs before these were two elementary school talent/variety shows. We enjoy preserving memories for our clients. Weddings go by so quickly and children grow up so fast. We feel that we provide an invaluable service by producing high quality videos that our clients can enjoy for many years to come.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. It is important that you like the style of the videos that your videographer will produce. Some videographers produce documentary style videos, while other produce more cinematic style videos. We produce a combination of the two styles.
It is also important to know exactly what you are getting with your videographer. Our Standard Wedding Package includes two videographers and includes complete editing. Nancy and Paul film together, each bringing their own specialties to your video. By filming as a team, Nancy and Paul are able to filming both in a documentary style as well as cinematically. We deliver a cinematic highlights video with every Standard Package. This cinematic video highlights the important events of the day, using background music. The highlights video can be slow and romantic, or upbeat and fun, or both, depending on the music. We prefer using music of our client's choice. We post your highlights video on a private Internet link and deliver the highlights video within 2-3 weeks of the wedding. The final video will include all the events of the wedding as well as the highlights video. We can deliver on DVD or Blu-Ray, or both.
Your wedding will go by in a blur and the video, with its combination of motion picture and sound, is your best way to remember the day. Don't leave this important historical document to chance and don't choose based on price alone. Choose a professional videographer whose videos you enjoy, and choose a videographer who has the experience and sensitivity that you deserve for your special day.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. Hiring the right videographer for your wedding or special event is an important decision. You should hire a videographer who is experienced with your wedding traditions and who is willing to work with you to learn your traditions. Knowing the traditions allows the videographer to set up in a prime spot to get great video footage without being in your way or blocking the view of your guests. There are no re-takes in a live event like a wedding, and it is critical to "get it right" the first, and only, time.
You should also know exactly what services your videographer is providing. Is editing a part of the quote, or is the editing charge added later? Editing a wedding, especially if editing two or more cameras, is a time consuming process. If editing is a separate component of your bill, the price can easily skyrocket. Our pricing includes complete editing, so the quote you receive from us will be the final price you will pay, even if editing takes longer than expected.
Be sure that you like the style offered by your videographer. There are many styles of shooting and editing, and even though most videographers are happy to work with you to make your video fit your personality, it is best to work with a videographer whose style of work you know you like. View their online samples, or better yet, meet with them to see complete samples. Your videographer will be with you for the entire day, so it is important that you feel comfortable with him or her.
Does your videographer give you the opportunity to offer input or to make changes to the video? We believe that it is in our best interest to ensure that you are thrilled with your wedding video, so we work with our clients until they are completely satisfied.
Does your videographer offer a straight-forward, easy to understand contract? The contract should outline all the services that are being provided so that you know exactly what you are getting, what you are paying, and what any additional options will cost. Signing a contract protects both you and your videographer, so that there are no misunderstandings. Your wedding is an important, yet stressful day, and a well constructed contract can help ensure that your day goes as smoothly as possible. Our clients know exactly what they are getting from us and we know exactly what you expect of us. However, we always strive to go above and beyond what is expected of us by working with you both before and after the wedding, by capturing outstanding video coverage and by providing unsurpassed customer service.
Your wedding video is a priceless heirloom. Choosing the right wedding videographer is very important and your decision should not be just about cost, but should include style, quality, and customer service so that your heirloom is one that you can enjoy for years to come.
