Mrs. Berlin tutored my two boys in math and reading. She worked with them on reading comprehension and well as fluency. The strategies and tools that she taught my kids, they still use today. In math, both kids grades increased. She was so good with them as well as accommodating. I highly recommended Mrs. Berlin if you have a children who is struggling in these areas. Thank you so much!!Mar 22, 2020Tutoring with Cindel's reply

Thank you for the kind review! I have so much fun working with your nephew!
I wish I could give more than the five stars and select all categories of what we like about working with Cindel!! I don’t even know where to start, she was such a HUGE impact on helping my special needs son overcome his phonetics and early reading development deficits! Cindel introduced us to various concepts, apps and worksheets relating to phonetics (chunking, blending, etc.) that helped us best understand how to help our son between sessions. Cindel was very fun, patient and ALWAYS ENCOURAGING to our son! He loves Cindel and we do too!Mar 23, 2020Tutoring with Cindel's reply

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to get to know them. I will ask about strengths and weaknesses. I will also ask them about learning styles and any other information they would like to share.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have my associates and bachelor’s degrees in Early Childhood Education (B-2nd), my masters in Developmental Disabilities. I have my teachers license for Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education(K-6th), and Special Education (K-12).
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I have always loved working with children and adults. I love learning, and helping people learn. I have dyslexia and have struggled when I was a child and young adult. I understand how it feels to struggle to learn. There are still times where I read something incorrectly, but nobody is perfect. :)
