Molding or baseboards,
David Alan took more than 3 weeks to show-up to do the handyman work requested, with spotty communication in the interim. I had a list of a few, mostly minor jobs and 2 more significant jobs to be completed. Upon arrival, he simply said that he could not do the 2, more significant jobs, leaving me hanging. That left a small list of jobs that practically any able-bodied person could complete, one of which he did not fix, but still billed me. There were several others where he did the bare minimum. He seemed to want to find shortcuts for all of the jobs. He charged a premium price, without the corresponding, high-quality work.Aug 23, 2019Verified
David responded quickly to my request for a handyman. We communicated via text. He gave me a price range from the explanation and pics. He scheduled with the client and did a great job of repairing the door jam. He sent an invoice and accepted payment via Cash app. I will work with him again and I highly recommend his services.Sep 13, 2019Verified
Plumbing Drain Repair
Great handyman but overall a great person. He calmed my fears and anxiety which was my first problem. My second problem was a clogged sink. He repaired it quickly and effortlessly. His prices are great as well. Don't doubt! Hire him!Feb 8, 2019Verified

David is the most honest, most enthusiastic, most knowledgeable, and politest Handyman that we have ever had. We are very satisfied, very happy and blessed. We keep him as our long term handyman and plumber. You must be lucky to hire this gentleman for fixing your problem. He is AWESOME... ! Thanks David. Give your princess a hug for us, please! - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Pricing starts at $275. Typical/Average cost per job is approximately $375.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I am in the field most of the time. The best way to contact me is via text message (I only typically use Thumbtack for leads and am often too busy to check the app throughout the day). ...or just pick up the phone to call me! Advice is always free : ) Please include you name, address, short description and some photos (current or proposed) and I can reply as soon as I get back to the office with pricing and scheduling availability (except for time sensitive projects/existing customers, I typically book 7-14 days in advance). With a few exceptions, my service area includes a 50-75 mile radius of NW Baltimore. DC/NOVA included. David Alan. four four three - six two two - five three seven five or if needed davidalanhandyman@gmail. com Note: Thumbtack uses some sophisticated math (which often changes) to determine how much to charge professionals for each Thumbtack lead - (from $6.00-$75.00/each) so many busy professionals (like me) opt to weigh the cost/benefit of replying to potential customers. In a nutshell, any contractor reply will trigger the lead to be charged so it is not cost effective to reply to all customers via Thumbtack. For example, I am much more likely to respond to a customer who has contacted me specifically/solely based upon my professionalism/integrity (reviews and photos help) than one who may prefer to hire a professional based primarily on price and may be collecting several bids prior to speaking with me.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a BS in Construction Management/Engineering
