Nema has been wonderful. He has helped refresh many concepts that I have forgotten, and he has taught me new ways of looking at other problems. He has shown the shortcuts to problems and how to quickly view and dissect what the problem is asking. Nema has been a wonderful tutor!

My son was struggling with AP Calc. which lead me to look for a tutor. We were incredibly lucky to have found Nema. Initially I was concerned about not having an in person tutor because it is difficult to keep my son's attention for any length of time, but Nema is masterful at keeping my son engaged in the lesson and focusing his attention. Nema was able to pinpoint my son's weaknesses within the first call and immediately start addressing them. As long as Nema is in his corner, I feel confident that my son will be able to get his A in calculus and will do very well on the final AP test. I have been so impressed by Nema that I have added tutoring sessions for my other son who is preparing to take the SAT. Nema is always happy to help, has a very accomodating schedule and seems to really care about the boys and how they are doing.

Details: High school • Calculus • 14 - 17 years old • Improve grades at school • More than once a week • Phone or internet (no in-person meeting)

Thank you Ms. Gill to take the time to write a review. It’s really a pleasure to work with the boys. Even though it’s over the phone but feels like they are sitting next to me. I look forward to continue working with them.

Let me start out by saying that I am NOT a "math person." I've always struggled in all my math classes (Except geometry that involved shapes and vocabulary. Go-figure.) This semester I had to take Calculus for Social Management at George Washington University. I soon realized that I was falling behind, and not understanding the professor or the concepts. I was beyond lucky to find Nema. We spoke on the phone for only 30 minutes the night before our first session- and he proved how much he could help me in such a short time. Nema is an incredible professor. He helped me quickly find my strengths and weaknesses- and is incredibly patient. We reviewed each concept- and the ones I did not understand he was able to explain multiple different ways, and effortlessly provide different example problems. I went from not understanding 90% of the class and having to constantly refer to my notes; to knowing each rule and types of problems inside and out. We worked together many hours to prepare for my midterm- and after many sessions with Nema, that was the first time I had ever taken a math test without freezing up on a problem. I knew exactly what to do without hesitation. Nema is an amazing professor, has a great sense of humor, and clearly loves what he does and it shows!

Within a few minutes of my first session, Nema explained statistics so that I could understand it. All before I hired him, I was stumbling through the course. He was able to open up my understanding according to my learning style; recognizing areas of weakness and focusing sessions on those areas. It is without a doubt, I could not have passed this course without him. He is amazing, fair and he cares. In summation, HIRE HIM. It will be an investment you will be happy you made.
