FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rate is $150-$250 per hour, with time, distance, availability, and post-processing. I believe my rate reflects my quality of work, I don't upsell, or make an issue of the little things.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Finding clients who appreciate my art may be one of the most fulfilling things about my job. I'm open to all forms of communication, digital or in person. I run on coffee so meeting at a cafe would be welcomed as well! Leading up to the shoot we can discuss looks, ideas, outfits, inspirations, timing, and weather. I can help you find ideal locations, and discuss with you the best times to go to said locations. I've been living in the D.C. Area since 1999 so I'm fairly familiar with the place!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Up until two years ago I was completely self-taught. I've spent countless hours on youtube and internet learning from those I admire. I've also bought books, video tutorials, and gone to conventions to further my craft. Two years ago I began working with one of the top DMV event photographers, whose been a better mentor than I could have ever asked for. Till this day I send him texts asking for advice and occasionally will work events with him. Even on days I'm off I am usually taking photographs, I still walk around D.C. and practice street photography as it is one of my favorite genres, but I've learned it also keeps someone's eye sharp, and on their toes.
