At all times Simon was a pleasure to work with. Simon remained professional yet make sure all participants were comfortable. The photos all looked wonderful. The hardest part was selecting which ones I wanted for the final edit. I would book Simon again without hesitation.Dec 3, 2019Simon L Productions's reply
Thank you Jeremy for the kind words! I had alot of fun hanging out with you guys! Glad I picked you guys up :) Hope to see you in the DC area again soon!
Working with Simon on this shoot was fun. We’re both perfectionists, so I knew whatever would come of this shoot would be excellent. He spoke about light the way I haven’t heard photographers speak on the subject. I can tell he’s very conscious of his craft and the people he works with. I can’t wait to work with you again, Simon!!!Aug 9, 2019

Simon is professional, punctual and quick to respond. He knows his craft, knows his lenses, gives you options and certainly works with your preference. I had a great experience working with him from setting up the appointment to receiving final edits. Will certainly work with him again.Aug 12, 2019VerifiedSimon L Productions's reply
Thank you so much Lily for the kind words! it was great chatting with you that day. Goodluck in D.C. I'm sure you'll do great!
Simon was great. He was responsive on time and worked well with us. He took some of our ideas and added his own. He also had great patience working with our 3 year old daughter. I would highly recommend himDec 10, 2018
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My rate is $150-$250 per hour, with time, distance, availability, and post-processing. I believe my rate reflects my quality of work, I don't upsell, or make an issue of the little things.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Finding clients who appreciate my art may be one of the most fulfilling things about my job. I'm open to all forms of communication, digital or in person. I run on coffee so meeting at a cafe would be welcomed as well! Leading up to the shoot we can discuss looks, ideas, outfits, inspirations, timing, and weather. I can help you find ideal locations, and discuss with you the best times to go to said locations. I've been living in the D.C. Area since 1999 so I'm fairly familiar with the place!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Up until two years ago I was completely self-taught. I've spent countless hours on youtube and internet learning from those I admire. I've also bought books, video tutorials, and gone to conventions to further my craft. Two years ago I began working with one of the top DMV event photographers, whose been a better mentor than I could have ever asked for. Till this day I send him texts asking for advice and occasionally will work events with him. Even on days I'm off I am usually taking photographs, I still walk around D.C. and practice street photography as it is one of my favorite genres, but I've learned it also keeps someone's eye sharp, and on their toes.
