FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
7LOX has package deals at $1200, $2400, $3600 and $5000. Each package includes all the lighting and cinema camera quality needed for us to be proud of project. We begin at $1200 and only accept projects that we have genuine passion and interest in. The first tier is for run and gun style videos with minimalistic editing. The second tier allows us to spend more time on editing or production. The third and most commonly chosen tier includes pre-production and additional editing time so that we can ensure the project is up to our standards from planning to delivery and marketing. If your budget allows, our next tier grants us the time and resources to develop custom VFX, custom sets, and 2D/3D animation, where we can really play and show the world something new. For more information and a breakdown of our packages and standard rates, feel free to contact us through email/message.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A client will propose a project, time frame and budget, and if we are interested we will initiate a remote/in-person meeting. A down payment is made to reserve date(s). We then conduct more in-person/videochat meetings to go over project guidelines and logistics, and if necessary we return a treatment/storyboard at a set time. Once the project is green lit from both ends, we prepare and shoot at the set date. Afterwards, we’ll edit with a turnaround time of about 1-4 weeks, sending drafts during at least two points during the postproduction stage. Once final cut approval is made, the remaining balance is paid in exchange for the full final product and package which may include teasers, trailers and other helpful marketing assets.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My first video was a high school prom-posal video. In it, I paint a rendition of my then girlfriend's favorite Paramore albums. Did I mention, that I was also painting outside during a windstorm? Since shooting and editing for that, I realized a love for media creation and bringing ideas to life for the enjoyment and horror of others. 8 years of freelance videography later, I would join with Kaebi (Kevin Shin), another creative and hard worker in the DMV, to form 7LOX; a video company that would set ourselves apart with a unique and genuine approach to filmmaking, attention to the details and the grandiose, and the follow through to not only deliver good, meaningful content, but to ensure that content is seen and appreciated the way it deserves.
