FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I didnât always want to be a personal fitness trainer but tragic events made my decision easy for me. In the spring of 2000 I unexpectedly lost my father to heart attack. He was my best friend, role model and the person I aspired to be. With his sudden passing it put a lot of things into perspective. It made me want to reach out to the community to help educate people on the risks of being overweight. I wanted to make a difference so that other kids wouldnât unexpectedly lose their father or mother at a young age. So thatâs why I came to be a personal fitness trainer.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for someone who has been in the industry for along time, that has tons of testimonials. The old adage you get what you pay for definitely relates to personal training. Look for someone with a national certification. Look for a trainer that has your best interest at heart and is not just there for a paycheck
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I wish they actually though that it was a profession and not a hobby! We don't do it for the money we do it to help people live long healthy lives so that they can enjoy family and friends for years.
