PC Computer Repair
Let me first start by saying this was the worst experience I have ever had with any computer technician. I would rate 0 stars if I could. I hired Andreas to replace the fan in my laptop and Andreas somehow managed to destroy the motherboard and burn all the wiring so it completely unusable. I doubt Andreas has small business insurance and he should be completely liable for all the damage he caused. He should have offered to fix it since he completely destroyed it but Andreas has been nothing but unprofessional through out the entire experience. I will first explain what was happening with my computer. The laptop itself was giving an error that there was something wrong with the fan. After opening the computer I could see that the fan had big difficulty spinning and definitely needed to be replaced which made sense with the error that the computer was giving. However, at this point the computer was still fully functional the fan just would get overheated if you used the laptop. However, I did not use the computer because I had a separate laptop but I did demonstrate to Mr.Gomez when I gave him the laptop that this indeed was happening and that the laptop was still functional. Andreas told me he would like to examine the computer and diagnose it before ordering a new fan which was fine with me. So he cleaned out the computer and said that it was not the issue. So he ordered the new fan. However, he did tell me via text that he was still diagnosing the problem which is a big issue because he should not have been operating the computer on the old fan because I knew that it was barely functioning to spin. He recently told me he received the fan and put it in but it was still overheating. I do not know what Andreas did not contact me at this point to tell me that there was possibly a bigger issue at hand so I could transfer my data over to my other computer but he did not. He continued to work with the computer and eventually after using it so much it had overheated and the inside sparked and he managed to burn and melt the inside of my computer. I'm still not entirely sure if Andreas knows what he is doing. As a professional he was VERY terrible at keeping in contact with me and updating me on the progress of my computer. It took Andreas over 5 MONTHS to get my computer back to me. This isn't like most services where you drop your computer off at a store and may expect someone to get back to you after a few weeks. Andreas messaged me in interest to repair my computer but throughout the entire process he was too busy to fix it. He kept giving me excuses that he was busy with school, busy with family matters and gave me and my father the excuse that he was away on vacation not once but SEVERAL times. Not only that but when I received my laptop that was completely destroyed he had not given back the original fan, the new fan, nor had he hooked up any of the wiring even the wiring that was not destroyed. He convinced me that he had essentially burned out both of the fans which does not make sense with all the excuses he kept giving me. In which he said he was only using the new fan when diagnosing the fan which I know now not to be true. Andreas kept giving me excuses throughout this entire process instead of actually standing up for his mistakes and for that he is truly unprofessional. In the end when I finally received my computer back and he had only managed to completely destroy it he charged US for the damage he had done to my computer, the old fan, and the new fan he ordered. He told me that in low quality HP models it is very common for this to happen to him which only makes me think he does not know what he is doing. Had I sent this back to HP it would have never happened. After I argued with him about this he said that my HP was of a bit of higher quality so he thought this would not happen. But seemingly it did anyway and Andreas has contradicted himself yet again. Andreas reported to me that he had destroyed the motherboard a while ago via text and that he needed to put the computer back together before giving it back. This for some reason took over a month which makes NO sense seeing as how there was not much to put back together since there was no fan and he destroyed all the wiring. Overall, this has been very unpleasant and I would suggest that you do not work with Andreas. You can find someone overqualified and much quicker than Andreas for around the same price and you will not regret it. As for upgrades, minor parts replacement, and virus removal could you trust Andreas to do this? Probably yes, but honestly you can learn how to do all of these things yourself very easily if you just take the time to learn them and can cut the middleman out. As for major parts replacement would I trust him? Absolutely not, I recommend that you go to a more trusted professional or through the manufacturer itself. Honestly, I am very upset this happened to me and it only makes it worse that Andreas has only been unhelpful throughout the entire process.Nov 4, 2014Verified
I had to stop my car rapidly and my drink spilled onto my computer case. Somehow, the water found it's way to the screen which now looked like a lava lamp. Andreas went over the possible outcomes and costs involved upfront. He actually wanted to try and see if he could just clean the LCD screen. If that did not work, he would have to replace the screen. Today, very few people will try to save you money and just jump to the easiest fix and not care about the cost. Andreas actually cares!!! Turns out, he had to replace the screen as he told me. The costs were very inexpensive compared to others in the laptop repair service community. Andreas kept me abreast of the situation when parts were ordered, came in and when the computer was ready. He was organized, friendly, efficient, went beyond the call of duty. He service was outstanding and his prices were even better. Thanks to Andreas, my laptop is just as good as the day I bought it. I would HIGHLY recommend Andreas for his professional and friendly service!!!Aug 15, 2014

Thank you for the review.
Mr. Gomez was very professional, knowledgable, and reliable. He managed to diagnose the problem with my laptop very quickly. His fees are also very affordable compared to other places. I will definitely be using Mr. Gomez for future computer services.May 23, 2014Verified
