What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I listen and ask them what is their goals and how we both can achieve their goals. I design a program tailored to their needs and goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
It is required in my field to get 75 credit hours for a 5 year period. I go to workshops, seminars. and take online courses . And network with others in my field . Join chapters and associations in my field.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I took a nutrition course at a local community college, I went into the class with zero knowledge about nutrition and came out with 100% knowledge of nutrition. After that class I went back to school to pursue a degree in nutrition.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Teach them how to read the food labels, plan meals, teach them to have better control over their Diabetes,and high blood pressure and high blood cholesterol levels.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Talk to your nutritionist/dietitian to be sure both of you can work together. Each one must: be willing to learn and teach one another.
