It was overall a very good experience. The gentleman who was to do the welding of our cast aluminum light pole arrived on time. He quickly understood that it was not going to be possible to do the job with the equipment he had. He transported the pole to the shop where he worked and brought it back a few hours later. The two broken pieces were welded back to the base of the pole and they had even painted over the welds. We think they did a good job for the modest amount of money they charged even though only time will show how the repair holds up.
