FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
price is relative. clients have budgets and time frames. sometimes our clients merely need some advice, and we will charge them just to review their strategy and make suggestions on next steps. our work is project-by-project (big or small).
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
i studied business administration with a concentration in marketing. i have been in this field since graduation (1997) from college. i progressed with each corporate position, and then started my firm in 2006 with my last paycheck, laptop and cell phone. i really understand small businesses, and their immediate needs. i won't suggest lofty goals and lofty expectations. but, i got in this line of work because it is rewarding to see a client meet their goals and to know that I had a hand in creating an opportunity to help them grow. i keep doing this work for that very same reason!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
it varies. i have a philosophy because i have been doing this for so long: no client is cre8'd equal. some clients want public and media relations only. some clients want help designing their marketing strategy. some clients simply need basic collateral materials. some clients want to tell their compelling story. and some clients don't understand social media and need someone to build and manage their website content. it depends on what the client wants to accomplish.
