Introduction
As an experienced educator of 35 years, I have enabled students with a variety of strengths and needs to be successful learning and making academic growth. I search for ways to make learning fun and break tasks down to the student's level of comfort and move forward from there. I love working with children and discovering how they learn best. I want to break the failure/frustration cycle that can often occur when children are not taught in ways that are suited to their needs. I love seeing that "light bulb" flash on when they finally get something that has been eluding them in the past.

Hi Kamesh, I'm sorry you reviewed me negatively to Thumbtack. I received notice that you were interested in hiring me for writing tutoring and I sent you back a notice asking you to call me to set up an appointment. I never heard back from you, however. Tutoring can only be provided if we talk first and set up a convenient time to meet. I'm sure if we had worked together, you would have been quite satisfied with the support I could have provided you. If you are still in search of a tutor, please call me at the number previously provided to you.

When my daughter was diagnosed with a learning disability and was at least one year below grade level, Judy Sagall was referred to me as a competent tutor. Judy proved to be more than competent. She was also compassionate with my daughter, she was understanding of the auditory memory problem my daughter had and taught her how to compensate, and she was always willing to listen to my daughter’s concerns.Judy was never judgmental nor critical with my daughter, rather she encouraged her. Judy tutored my daughter for more than 3 years enabling her to reach and remain on grade level. Because of Judy’s tutoring, my daughter is a competent and successful young lady. I would highly recommend Judy as a tutor for other children. Jean

Judy is a wonderful tutor. She has been working with my son for about 2 years now, and he is to the point where he asks to see her when he is having problems with his math home work! When tackling challenging concepts Judy has taken the time to utilize whatever resources she has available to her including utilizing online lessons to review, and reinforce the subject she is working on with him to make sure he has a better grasp of what it is he is doing before he leaves. She is very patient with him, and is willing to work with my very hectic schedule. There is not enough that I can say about her commitment to my son when they work together, I can only say thank you for everything she does for us.

I am very grateful to Judy Sagall for the impact her tutoring has made on two of my children. The level of professionalism accompanied by patience, humor, and a keen ability to communicate are qualities very difficult to come by, and Judy embodies them all. At the point that my kids had reached and surpassed our goals, Judy honestly assessed them as not requiring further tutoring. As an educator myself, I recognize the rarity of finding all these attributes in a single individual. Outstanding.

After many years in private school, I decided to give public school a try. I quickly learned that even in a great school district - with overpopulated classes and overworked teachers - my child was being deprived of the basic tools to build a solid educational foundation. I set out to find someone who could help reinforce these basics that I remember learning that are missing in today’s curriculum. Ms. Judy far exceeded my expectations. From day one, she figured out how to engage my 3rd grader and make learning fun. In fact, she quite often says Ms. Judy taught me this or that...I haven’t heard her say that about her school teacher all year!!! After only 3 sessions, I’m more than pleased. She’s also taken time to communicate with my 3rd grader’s teachers to ensure that she is reinforcing their current curriculum. If you are looking for someone to help your kids build that solid educational foundation, look no further than Ms. Judy!
