FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started training expats when I was in Cambodia. I would hear about people getting robbed a lot so I offered to teach self defense. When I came back to the states people kept asking me why I don't teach. I was working in other dojos for other people and I knew more than they did. They may have out ranked me but when it came to experience and understanding of techniques I was more knowledgeable.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently trained two guys who are traveling thru out South America. They wanted to learn how to defend themselves in the streets.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
A clear understanding of what you're trying to learn and what they're trying to teach. If you ask someone about one thing and they try to lean towards something else, that shows you that they are not clear and don't know what you want to learn.
