We just want to say a huuuuuge thank you to Tawonda for our very beautiful and DELICIOUS wedding cake!!! When we saw our wedding cake, we could immediately tell that lots of time and love was dedicated in making the cake. It was a hit with our guests and most importantly us lol!! Thank you so much for making us feel like family from the first time we met, and for going the extra mile to get us a cake topper when we couldn't get one at the last minute! Sweet Treats DMV (Tawonda) demonstrated exceptional customer service for my order of 12 cupcakes. She overlooked the fact that she doesn't do small orders of 12 but she made an exception for me which i was happy about because my birthday dinner was small. She arrived at 7:45pm which is what we originally agreed on but I was running late and didn't get there until 8:15pm and she graciously waited for me to get there so she could give me the cupcakes and she walked them inside for me since I have mild cerebral palsy. I would definitely use her again and her cupcakes are amazing! Very fresh and she starts from scratch!

I cannot say enough good things about Tawonda! During the wedding cake tasting my husband and I couldn’t even decide on one flavor because every sample she brought was amazing. We finally settled on two, and got a two tiered cake as well as cupcakes of both. I was so excited to eat the cake on our wedding day! Several of our guests told us it was the best wedding cake they’ve ever had, and we were not surprised at all. Tawonda was punctual the day of and the presentation was beautiful. Book her for your wedding - you will not regret it!

I work with all budgets, but keep in mind custom desserts come at a cost. I offer discounts to repeat customers and servicemembers of the military.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I try to build a rapport with all my clients. I ask questions to better understand how to accommodate their request.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an associate's degree in Baking and Pastry from Anne Arundel Community College and is also Servsafe Certified with a Food Managers license
