After being told by a tech from one company that cleaning the AC coil in our new house would cost $1200 unless he could talk the office down to half that, I shopped around for a second estimate. Carroll Mechanical's estimate was $300! I decided to purchase their regular maintenance contract for both our units, which was also very reasonable. The tech who came to do the tuneup, Jordan, seemed extremely competent (I'm not an HVAC expert so I have to trust that these guys know their stuff and are telling me the truth - which is not always the case), and he pointed out a couple of other things that need fixing. Unlike with the first guy, I felt I could trust his assessment - this company is not trying to rip people off. It's clear they want long-term customers and understand that the way to get them is to be straight with people, do good work and charge fair prices.

I got a quick response with a fair price on furnace gas valve replacement on a Saturday night. Seems honest and not greedy like other companies I’d dealt in the past. They also let me know about their membership program that checks hvac system twice a year with full report- definitely sounds like a good idea. I’ll call this vendor in the future for hvac needs.
