Introduction: Let me start off by saying that music is my LIFE! Aside from having over a decade of professional DJing experience, I'm also a musician and music producer. I've DJ'd hundreds of events and I know that I can deliver exactly what your next party needs. When you hire me, you won't have to worry whether or not your party will be a good time. Chris at Prototype Productions absolutely deserves 5 stars across the board! It can be very daunting when selecting a DJ service for your wedding, especially if you're someone like me who doesn't know much about music and DJ'ing besides using an aux cord and Spotify playlist... but Chris was exactly what we needed to help pull off our special day! From start to finish there was incredible professionalism, punctuality, and attention to detail - from the initial planning all the way to the day/night itself. Chris is incredibly knowledgeable about all genres of music, mixing, and the logistics necessary for special events, he made us feel completely comfortable and confident that the entertainment for our wedding was going to be perfect. Having a wedding where half of our guests were Chinese and of a different culture, we were initially nervous that the programming would be tricky but Chris pulled it off with just an amazing assortment of music that was perfectly executed! We had so many guests of all ages remark how much they enjoyed themselves on the dance floor! I've never seen my grandma and aunts dance the way they did that night. If you're in need of a DJ service for your wedding or any special event, do Not hesitate to choose Chris at Prototype Productions. Hands down the best decision my husband and I made during our entire wedding planning process.

I hired prototype productions without a referral and didn't really know if I would be disappointed. I requested Chris as the DJ for my daughter's baby shower and he was a true professional. I liked everything about prototype productions right from the beginning. Chris got back to me right away. They are very well organized through their online client area for songs, forms, and time line. He is very polite, respectful of your space and a true professional. Thank you Chris for a great job and for making the event go so smoothly, everyone had a wonderful time. Chris, of Prototype Productions, is an excellent and professional individual who did such an outstanding job at a recent wedding at our Club. At this particular wedding, only a third of the bride and groom’s guests attended their reception and the bride and groom were deeply upset by this. Enter Chris who will treat a room with his warm, fun, and inviting DJ style no matter if there are 1,000 in attendance or one. Nothing felt forced and he was able to make everyone feel relaxed and in capable hands. He guided the bride and groom through the night and at the end of the day they, and all their guests, went home happy (after lots of laughing and dancing!) It is this kind of professionalism and care that we value here at our Club, and want every single one of our clients to experience. We can't wait to see him again!

This DJ can work it. He can read a crowd, take its pulse and deliver the music people want. Seriously, when he did our wedding, people stopped dancing only when they just couldn't dance any more!! Also, you can't beat the price. I got estimates from other DJ's that were way over the top.

I’m a wedding coordinator and I’ve hired Chris several times. He always shows up on time, he has great sounding gear, he’s courteous, friendly, he plays the best music, and to top it off he’s very reasonably priced. I highly recommend hiring him for your next event.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I'm currently running a discount price of only $90 per hour! Also prices are negotiable. Lighting packages and additional sound equipment are also available. Visit my website for more details.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We'll basically just exchange a few emails, all I need from you is the location of the event, what type of music you want me to play, and which lighting package you want (if any). I will show up early to set up and I'll stay until you need me to.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors degree from The University of Baltimore Maryland where I studied art and music. I've taken many courses on DJing, music production, sound design, music theory, and more.
