Central Air Conditioning Installation or Replacement

We initially came to thumbtack to find someone that could diagnose our problem with lack of airflow upstairs. He came to me one late evening and noticed immediately what was wrong with my system. He noticed that I needed a new furnace for my unit. I had an old 2 ton unit and he informed me that I needed a 4 ton energy efficient unit to get max airflow. He came in and installed my unit in like 3 hours when initially he said 6 to 8 hours. He was also reasonable with price. After the unit was installed, he noticed that two of my upstairs ducts were either separated or not there. I will get an estimate to that soon. Only problems were: -I usually deal with contractors who have contracts with customers. Ray only used invoices. -Communication could be excessive sometimes but he wanted to be in constant communication with changes. -The old furnace was left by my dumpster. I informed Ray that we don’t like added trash and equipment added to our dumpster area. But, the furnace was gone by the next morning. Overall, Ray is the right person for your AC needs!! And he has the experience to back it up! Will hire again!

Heating System Repair or Maintenance

Ray was excellent! He was able to assess and recommend the right solution to the issue immediately! There was no time lost between his first visit and the furnace installation. The right size furnace - the problem was the furnace - installed by another vendor - did not have the fan power to heat the whole house. Ray predicted this by just walking through the house before seeing the furnace. Within 2 days he had the new furnace purchased and installed and the house is toasty warm and running on less energy than the old one. Because the old furnace still had manufactures warranty remaining, I was able to donate it. Unfortunately, the installers warranty had expired on the old furnace - I thought it was my old roof that was causing the change in temp. Ray's Heating and AC is the best - I highly recommend them! Tidy work area, good communication and professional - they know their trade.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    Price is according to the problems. We don't buy online, because they don't have warranties by the manufacturer. We charge by the job not by an hourly rate. Service calls are charged if there are repairs, installs are FREE. That's when the customer needs to replace the system. We offer a senior discount.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    We need to have a business relationship, all work done will be explained to the fullest. All work has to be done with a contract. Follow up calls are most important. Warranty charged if the labor warranty is up, but mechanical warranty is not.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    LINCOLN TECH, crafts masters, pneumatic system, contols pneumatic, electrical engineering training, electrical controls, carrier, train, plumbing, BOILER president, Commercial chillers, COOLING towers, gly-coil system for computer rooms , pumps commercial bldg, resident boiles plumbing, air compressors for pneumatic systems.etc...
