hired Vaughn May 19th 2022 to soder my HVAC copper lines. My system is 2 years old.. They had been attached with a sort of shark bite for HVAC lines called pro-fit. The connection at the condenser outside was leaking so I hired him to remove all of them and soder the lines and make a new plenum door for me. The HVAC companies were trying a sell me a whole new system and telling lies. Vaughn did most of the work BUT he did not remove the final connector that attached the small copper line to the condenser. It's leaking. He showed me it leaking. There was no reason the connector should not have been removed or cut off. There was enough line to cut it if need. Vaughn has been promising to come back for over a month. Of course, I can't see under insulation, but his work looks good. But because it's not on and he did do that final connection, the hvac scammers are claiming there are leaks everywhere and I need new lines or I need new $800 parts. This is the same problem I was having and why I hired Vaughn. I'm right back to square one and out of $380. As you can see, the connector has been removed now. This line could have been sodered. The hvac companies won't just come out and soder it. They want you to buy their equipment.

I have several years of training, on all types of equipment.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was a forklift operator, I knew that wasn’t the career for me, I saw a Lincoln technical institute commercial, I applied, and started shortly after. I did trade school from 7 am to 2:30 pm and worked from 4 pm to 12:30 am until finished the program. It took 10 months to complete and I got granted two bonus one month classes.
