Georgia is a wonderfully inspiring teacher for beginning musicians. My daughter has blossomed into a self-identified musician under her tutelage. Georgia makes lessons fun, she incorporates learning with lots of opportunities to perform, and the kids are extremely loyal to her. The only negative is that she has had a tendency to focus on music rather than technique. But she is open to feedback from parents, and is willing to make appropriate adjustments. I highly recommend her

Georgia really takes her time with her clients. Our friend has special needs and Georgia has been able to adapt to her learning style, teach her new information, encourage her to keep trying and that keeps our friend happy and willing to keep playing! She's amazing!

My son and three grandchildren all study with Georgia,. It is a rare teach who can work easily and productively with both school children and adults. My 12 yo twin grandsons think lessons with Miss Georgia are "fun and interesting!" They also made Junior High All-County Orchestra in 6th grade (their 3rd year of lessons) so I would say as a flutist and flute teacher that they are progressing well as is their sister (age 10). My son went back to playing and taking lessons after he observed the children's lessons.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Lessons are paid for IN ADVANCED for the month. This avoids having to pay each week making payments easier on the student and myself. Lessons are $20.00 per 30 minute lesson ($80 - $100 per month) and $30.00 per 60 minute lessons ($120 - $150 per month)
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first lesson is a "get to know you" lesson. Parents should sit in the first lesson so that they know what is expected of the student, ask questions and hear the plan for moving forward. We see the level of musical knowledge and playing ability so that we can start the student at the appropriate level.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have studied with Sue Gross (Hanover, PA), Erika Lynn Adam (Westminster, MD), Sherrie Norwitz (Towson University) and Alice Ting (McDaniel College). I completed my student teaching at North Carroll Middle School and volunteered at Manchester Elementary School, Ebb Valley Elementary School and West Middle School. I have taught at Coffey Music, Hess Music and Menchey Music in both Westminster and Hanover but decided to open my own studio in 2014. I have also worked with Concert Master of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra Jonathan Carney.
