This session with Ms. Warr was a smart investment that will save me in many thousands of returns! I learned the right stitches, cutting and hemming techniques and worked through a basic design (plus more tips and tidbits that only come from years of sewing.)

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Prices are all different, since most of the projects I've been commissioned to do are unique.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I try to work with the individual needs, fabric and notion costs, time I'm given to complete the project, and get a deposit to cover the material costs. I need a minimum of 1 fitting, more with formalwear, and can provide a pattern for new designs at additional cost.
