FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
At Jenkins Restorations, we believe the financial side of restoration should be the least of your worries. Here is what you should know about our pricing: Insurance Standard Pricing: We use industry-standard estimating software, primarily Xactimate, which is the same program used by over 80% of insurance carriers. This ensures that our pricing is fair, transparent, and immediately recognized and accepted by your adjuster. You won't face surprises because our estimates align with what the insurance industry determines is the fair market value for the work. No Hidden Fees for Estimates: We provide a thorough, written estimate for the covered scope of work at no charge to you. Your Only Out-of-Pocket Cost (Initially): In nearly all cases, your only required out-of-pocket payment is your insurance policy's deductible. We collect the deductible and then bill your insurance carrier directly for the balance of the approved claim amount. No Discounts Required: Since our prices are based on Xactimate, which reflects the current fair market rate for labor and materials, we do not typically offer discounts. This standardized pricing ensures that the materials and workmanship we provide meet the highest quality standards approved by your insurance company.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We've designed our process to be as straightforward and supportive as possible during what we know is a stressful time. Our goal is to take the complex burden of restoration and insurance coordination off your shoulders. Here are the typical steps when you work with Jenkins Restorations: 1. Immediate Contact & Emergency Response (24/7): You call us when damage occurs. We dispatch an emergency team immediately (often within hours) for services like water extraction, board-up, or temporary roofing to mitigate further damage. 2. Initial Assessment & Documentation: A Project Manager performs a thorough inspection of the damage. We document everything with photos, moisture readings, and detailed notes—all the evidence your insurance company will need. 3. Estimate & Insurance Coordination: We prepare a comprehensive estimate using Xactimate (the standard industry software). We then work directly with your insurance adjuster to review the scope of work and secure approval for the repair funds. 4. Project Planning & Contract: Once the scope is approved, we review the work plan, timeline, and all financial details (including your deductible) with you. When you sign the contract, we schedule the necessary crews and materials. 5. The Restoration Work: Our certified, professional crews perform the restoration. We manage all subcontractors, maintain a clean and safe job site, and provide you with regular progress updates. 6. Final Walkthrough & Warranty: Upon completion, we conduct a final walkthrough with you to ensure every detail meets your satisfaction. We then finalize the paperwork with your insurance company and provide you with our workmanship warranty.
