I found this company through gig master after filling out my party information on the gig master site Kiddie party people called me soon after requesting a full payment. I made a deposit in march and called back in may to pay the remaining balance. The owner could not find my party information and made me a contract that day for my party that was taking place 6/22/13 I was concerned about the professionalism so the owner gave me his personal number and ensured me that everything will go as planned. The morning of my party a woman called from the Kiddie party people to cancel and told me a refund would be posted Monday my party was on a Saturday. I have not received my refund and they have stopped taking my calls on the personal as well as the business number. They have scammed me out of $250 dollars

I would NOT RECOMMEND using this company. We purchased the Minnie Mouse and Moon Bounce package. The worker that was supposed to wear the Minnie costume could not fit into the costume. The worker ripped the costume trying to put it on. When she finally got it on you could see her clothing hanging from the costume. The kids didn’t know if the character was Minnie or Mickey because the costume did not have a bow on the head and the worker had on Mickey shoes. The worker did not do anything with the kids because the cheap radio they had would not work and the CD’s were skipping. The kids left Minnie/Mickey and got back in the Moon Bounce. WASTE OF MONEY. The Worker said that the owner (Gene Pryer) is not organized and has the costumes scattered in a garage, so it’s hard to find all the parts to the costumes. Gene was avoiding my calls, so I called from a different phone number and he answered. He said he would get back with me after speaking with the workers. I have never received a returned call after leaving several messages. AVOID USING THIS GHETTO COMPANY BECAUSE YOUR CHILD WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!

I had a horrible experience with these folks! I rented the space over in the Woodlawn area. The worst of it is listed below: 1. I called the day before to confirm my arrival time and what time the venue would be ready and set up for me. Not only were the table and chairs not set up but there were people lounging in the area, someone was vacuuming white stuff off of the floor. Apparently, the tables were at the other venue location and had to be delivered. This put me way behind schedule and I wasn't able to decorate before my guests arrived. 2. The entire duration of the party the "staff" and their friends were walking in and out of the area which I paid to rent. They weren't in any uniform or anything, just random people going back and forth literally right in the middle of the area. I asked numerous times for them to stop coming in and out. They did not stop. 3. The carpet was ripped and the chairs were filthy dirty, which I was told would be clean and repaired before my event. It was not. 4. I called the "assistant manager" at least 6 times after the party so I could get my deposit back. Each time she told me she had to talk to her boss. I finally got the number of her boss and called him myself. I went and got the check and deposited it. A day later they call and ask me not to deposit the check but to come get cash. I had already deposited the check. My guess is they were trying to avoid an overdraft fee. 5. Since the venue was not ready when it was supposed to be, the manager offered to play music for us. He is supposed to be a DJ. I agreed to let him do it and asked for Motown/Oldies music. After an hour or so of trudging equipment in and out he finally starts playing music...but while someone was up speaking about the guest of honor. AND he started playing club music from the 90's! The speakers were busted and rattling and it made it sound worse. It was horrible and embarrassing. I can say that they were nice people but totally unprofessional, do not come through with what they promise and the venue is horrible. I would not recommend this company to anyone. You get what you pay for. Save up your money, get a group of people to put towards renting a nice place for your special event. This place is cheap but it is not worth the aggravation and disappointment.

I am so glad I read these reviews. My first meeting was with the owner, and when I went to check out the venue I was surprised that the room we were in, was the rental room. It was dirty, and the tables and chairs appeared to be in bad shape. I inquired about the other room because I didn't like the setup of the current one. I wasn't able to see the other room because it was under construction, but I was told it would be ready within two weeks. I texted the owner to have information emailed to me, and that's when my gut feelings about this venue were validated. My texts went unanswered. Finally, after returning the text I became part of a very unprofessional, tiring, and frustrating game of promises to send the email. Oh I got a new phone, I'll send it. Oh, will you please reconfirm your email. Then finally, nothing! I find it hard to believe that someone in business would be this UNPROFESSIONAL! I'm so glad that I trusted my instinct to shop for another venue, and leave this one alone. All the signs were in clear view. Thank god I came across these reviews and didn't give up any money. This business is clearly not ready for business!

I am severely disappointed with the service I received from Kiddie Party People. I requested a Ninja Turtle come to my 8 year old son's school for a 1/2 hour. I was charged $100 for a person dressed up in a homemade costume to arrive on time, but with no music, leave to go get the music and arrive, now late. The ninja turtle did not appear comfortable with being a mascot at all and needed a lot of direction from his assistant (dressed in all black, see through spandex with a lot of skin and body parts exposed) who was very unapologetic. The entertainment (songs and music) was not age appropriate as these were 2nd graders and I'm sure their favorite song isn't If You're Happy and You Know It. We ended up only utilizing them for 15 minutes as they were 15 minutes late. I called the person who booked this and have yet to receive a call back as of almost a week and a half later. It is certainly difficult to find mere professionalism. The half-made costume (which a piece fell off during a song, which I still have) and the baby songs would have been okay if at least a little professionalism was shown. I do not and will not recommend this company.
