- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have worked with my hands from the time I started doing yard work at the age of 12. Working in a paper mill as a shift electrician, I had abundant free time. I used that spare time to gut and remodel my home. I learned to do task I had previously left to others. From leveling my sub floors with shims to laying, sanding and finishing hardwood flooring. I discovered new talents and pushed forward to learn more as I needed. After 25 years working in the mill, it closed down (as many have over the last decade or so). Finding myself unemployed I set forth with my acquired skills and have worked as a jack of all trades since.
