We loved our time with DrumLessons Austin! Pedro has a gift of relating to kids and truly loves teaching his craft. My 8 year old son loved going to drumlessons every week. We miss Pedro!

Pedro is my son's first drum teacher- he is professional, knows how to connect with kids (my son is 8), and my son learned SO much in just 2 short months with Pedro! Pedro's energy and positivity are contagious!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Pedro is an amazing drum teacher. He is super knowledgeable, patient, and makes learning fun. He explains things in a way that just clicks and keeps you motivated. I feel like I improve every week, and I always leave my lesson feeling energized and excited to play.

Pedro is a fantastic drum teacher! I took lessons with Pedro for about 7 months in 2025 before he moved to Bangor. He structures and scaffolds lessons really well and gets you playing along with music within your first lesson. You will learn a ton and have a blast at the same time!

Pedro is a strict teacher that also knows how to make the lesson fun. Our 3rd grader loves going to practice each week to learn new combinations and work on his technique. Would highly recommend DrumLessons Austin!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For 30 minute lessons (best for kids), it's $36 for your first "trial" lesson, then $40 each or $160 monthly.
For 1-hour lessons, it's $65 for your first "trial" lesson, then $72 each or $288 monthly.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I'll be on piano during our in-person lessons (or drums if you're on piano). Right from the start, I want you to feel what it's like to "play in a band." It's a lot of fun AND hones your ability to listen and keep steady time whilst rockin' out with other musicians...
For online lessons, I'll be on drums or piano, giving you a very direct, how-to approach via FaceTime or Meet... Too far away or don't feel like fighting traffic? This is the perfect option!
I offer exercises, songs, and techniques, an entire curriculum that will help you see positive results immediately. Lessons are tailored to your musical tastes and level of commitment...
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
B.A. in Music, Amherst College, MA, 1995 ★ 23+ years teaching experience
