Ryan and his partner did a great job moving our new-to-us 52" upright (a beast of a piano). He took pains to protect it: deciding to reschedule when there was a threat of rain, leap-frogging ramps across our lawn because we don't have a flat walkway from the driveway to the door, and temporarily removing our front door and the top and front panels on the piano. They managed to get it up the 7 steps to the living room in our raised ranch without a single scratch. It took longer than expected, but I appreciated that they weren't rushing and made sure to do the job right. Ryan was very responsive to Thumbtack chat, calls, and texts throughout the whole scheduling process, and he and his partner were very professional and courteous.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My prices are based plainly on the difficulty of the move. The price will never change or increase unless something was misconstrued such as number of stairs. That is the biggest one. An accurate number of stairs is paramount.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Contact is first of course. I will go over a brief outline of how the move will go. Then we will proceed with the planned move.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've spent years moving pianos. I've moved well over 3000 at this point.
