FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently taking classes in the area and feel I will always be a student of sorts. When not formally studying I find myself looking up current trends and anticipating the next look a client may wish to achieve. As well I keep my own style from stagnation through experimentation and breaching comfort zones of practice and theory.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started out as a die hard artist with ambitions ranging from cartooning to fine art. However, I found much of my work lacked a connection to the human element as well as providing me with enough facets of creative stimulus. As I took up photography I found myself being driven by the human spirit and its many variations. When I work with people and their images I feel connected and a part of my community; whether it be locally of on a global scale.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I do a lot of model work. I enjoy introducing models into the business and take a certain kind of pride when they flourish in the industry. In the Summer I do many senior portraits and family oriented shoots. I find I do all these well as I take the time to know my clients and find the right theme for them rather than pouring them into a preexisting mold.
