Type your response to tOh really now.Yes I did quote the man $550 but that was when he told me in our phone call that he was paying for all the materials for thd job and that he had all of them there. So I went to look at the job and what did I see the only thing he had was the shower valve that he was given to by a buddy. And that he wantsd me there in the morning. So to the Home Depot I go to buy the supplies for him . $425. Out of pocket. When I get there the next morning and started tearing the old shower out. I asked where the water shut off was, he points to one on the wall and said" that one there shuts off the whole house. And I know better but took his word for it. As I cut into the hot side I get a shower so I rush around looking for shut offs on the hot side . There was a lot of them every where I found the right ine shut off the hot water it took.a while to get the ild pan up somebody went crazy with that spray foam stuff there was a LOT of it making the pan come out in pieces putting the new shower stall in was a chore in my opinon I wouldn't waste miney on the place it has no foundation and it is sitting directly on the ground causing rit every where nothing stright or level or plumb in there it was getting late now that I finally got the stall in. I hooked up the plumbing. Now the shower valve cones,from the factory with a bracket attached to the back of it. The directions said the lettering in the bracket go up I knew this any how. When I trued the water there was nothing to the shower but to the rest of the place. It was late and he was getting upset one time when I went in the kitchen turnec the water on went back in the bathroom to see if wated was in the shower he comed storming out of the livingroom swearing and yelling at me to shut the faucet off in the kitchen one other time I was knocking on the wall to find a stud he starts again swearing and yelling thats when I went home. I come back the next day to get water to the shower.I took the valve all apart looking for problem nothing everything I did was for nothing . I was stumpped. I looked at the back oc the valve pondering what the hell thats when I noticed an arrow on the valve body itself pointing to the left.. Ha thats it the bracket was put on wrong at the factory turned it where it suspissed to go and water. The customer was the one who was eager to pat me.i had no paper work thats why I was frying to figurr out what he owed me. I e mailed him my quote twice he said he never got them. But as hd was throwing money at my from his wallet he had the exact right amount right to the dollar. I tried to explan the valve problem all he keep yelling at me was he disn't want to hear it I put it together wrong . This customer has an anger issue all day he was yelling at someone on the phine i had to shut the bathroom door. I know how to keep my cool with people like that the next person who he hires might not and it can turn out bad his review.
