Jay is an absolute gentleman, with top notch experience in his craft, and he doesn’t shy away from applying his best skill to his work, even in the smallest details. He installed six interior doors for me, and he did a phenomenal job with it. He provides fair pricing for the quality of his work, and he comes to the job prepared with all tools, but more importantly he knows how to address any and all issues that may come his way. I witnessed all this, since I was working on some other project at home at the same time, and he helped me with his ideas for other projects as well. (I was impressed with the breadth of projects he’s experienced in as well). I will for sure call him for future jobs I need help with. Thank you Jay, you are a living proof that honest, skilled and friendly craftsman are still out there!

We initially hired Jay to fix the flooring around a toilet and reseat the toilet. This ended up being a bit more work than anticipated, as the floor was very uneven. He was great at explaining the situation and worked meticulously to insure the floor was done correctly this time. We ended up with a new tile floor that I love. He then installed the toilet, switched out the vanity and medicine cabinet, and we now have a beautiful bathroom. Jay ran into a number of obstacles along the way, as we are in an older home that has had lots of home repairs NOT done correctly! He persevered throughout, taking on each new challenge with good humor, and resolving it with impeccable workmanship. Jays rates are fair, and I’m happy to pay for a job well done. Next, the kitchen floor!!

Very satisfied with the work Jay did! He was very responsive, flexible, and professional. I needed him to hang four good size mirrors throughout my house. He arrived about 15 minutes early and was in and out in less than an hour. He cleaned up the dust as he hung each mirror (although I told him he didn’t need to). Everything is centered, sturdy, and secure! I am very pleased with his work and I will most definitely be using his services moving forward!

Jay and Kevin have done an outstanding job with multiple big and small projects in our new home. We hired them initially to remove an old tile kitchen floor and replace with vinyl plank. They’ve since helped us re-floor several rooms, finish a basic kitchen reno that totally transformed the look and function of the house, start a badly needed bathroom remodel, install custom closet shelving, and generally repair a whole bunch of stuff that was broken or installed wrong when we bought the place. Jay has also provided a ton of education about our home and it’s maintenance that has been invaluable as a semi-clueless first-time owner. What I appreciate most is his willingness to collaborate on project ideas and figure out creative solutions that work with our budget and space. Besides being a skilled carpenter he’s got a very strong eye for design and knows what will and won’t look right when finished. I’d *much* rather pay a fair price for an honest, professional opinion than have someone lie and say all of my wacky ideas are good. Trust me; I know they’re not. Bottom line is that Jay knows his stuff, is confident in his skills, is honest about what projects are in his scope of expertise, and the quality of work backs that up. Looking forward to hiring Jay and Kevin for future projects. The fact that they are both chill and funny dudes is a bonus.
