First, what can you say about a carpenter who also happens to make delicious booze-laden chocolate truffles? Double winning! But that's another story.
I am extremely satisfied and impressed with the Jim Mingo Carpenter. I had a fairly simple project: build a shelving unit to cover a boarded-up window in my home recording studio. Jim replied to my Thumbtack post immediately, and the discussion began. Work was completed on time at the agreed upon price: no funny stuff or haggling. Jim showed up on time, was extremely professional in every way, and is a pleasant personality to deal with. And, oh by the way, the shelving unit is beautiful! (And the truffles!!!)
I recommend Jim Mingo Carpenter without hesitation, and I will be hiring him again in the near future.

Jim did an amazing job with our new front porch: he was fast, professional, and the porch looks beautiful. We showed him what we wanted and he did exactly that, even checking in first when one of the materials was going to be slightly more expensive than the quote. We plan on hiring Jim again for future projects around our house since he did such a good job! Our porch looks perfect, exactly what we wanted, and I would definitely hire Jim again.

We hired Jim to do some framing work as part of a full house renovation project. His estimate for time and materials was accurate. He was professional, courteous, on time and on budget. His rates are fair and his work is outstanding. We will definitely hire Jim for other projects in the future.

Jim responded to our deck remodel request right away on Thumbtack. He came over to our house and we explained what we wanted done. The next day he provided his bid. His bid was very reasonable. He finished the job on time and within cost.
Jim is a talented carpenter and you can tell that he enjoys what he is doing. Our deck is beautiful. We are totally satisfied with his work. Jim is also a personable guy who immediately makes you feel comfortable in your home. He's also a chocolatier with many, many different and exotic truffle flavors.
We highly recommend hiring Jim for your project. We will be hiring him again in the near future.
